MANCHESTER television station Channel M is launching a programme to showcase the best new musical talent in the area - and your band could star in it.

The show, called Interference, is due to hit screens in March but the production team are already on the hunt for a wide range of quality local bands.

Sam Wigfield of Channel M's talent team at Salford University told ManchesterOnline: "Every artists must have a connection with the North West, but we are not just looking for rock and indie acts.

"We are extremely interested in alternative and unusual acts. This would be a great opportunity for any artists out there looking for recognition and that much-needed publiclty."

For your band to be in with a shout of featuring on the show, simply send a demo and a photograph to Channel M, International Media Centre, Adelphi House, The Crescent, Salford, M3 6EN.
