23–28 June
Heaton Park
Shakespeare's Globe Theatre bring their unique style of open-air performance to Heaton Park when a small troupe plays out Shakespeare's comedy. Fast-paced, hilarious and seemingly irreverent, the young William Shakespeare explores themes in this comedy that recur again and again in his later work; mistaken identity, coincidence and the strength of familial bonds.
Performances: Tuesday - Saturday 7pm; Sunday 3pm. Matinee performances: Wednesday and Saturday 2.30pm. Please note: performance lasts 2 hours plus interval. This is an outdoor show and seating is not provided, so you should bring a rug/low backed chair to sit on. Tickets: adults £15, children £10. To book call Quaytickets 0870 428 0785 and online at
