But award-winning food writer Clarissa Hyman took it all in her stride when her name was mixed up with Clarissa Dickson Wright, she of the Two Fat Ladies cooking duo.
Butcher Tim Wilson, writing in The Observer's newly-published Book of Food, made the mistake when thanking Clarissa, who he named as "one of the Two Fat Ladies" for her support when she wrote an article praising his business - but it was actually her full-figured namesake who had written the article.
Our very much petite Clarissa, from Higher Crumpsall, has since been besieged by calls highlighting the amusing error. Clarissa, Glenfiddich Food Writer of the Year, says: "I've had a couple of calls from people asking whether I need to lose some weight.
"I think the confusion has arisen because there aren't many food writers with our name.
"But I'm certainly more petite than the other Clarissa - I don't think there would be any confusion of identity if he'd seen the two of us side by side."
