A NEW event bringing together poets, authors, songwriters and hip-hop freestylers is being launched in Oldham this month.
Here Comes the Tide, which aims to fuse new poetry with music and visual arts, will take place at The Museum, on Oldham's Greaves Street.
The event is being organised by Manchester-based writers and performers group Wordcircus - who have previously organised sell-out poetry night events in the city.
"We are delighted to be coming to Oldham and to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the group," said Tim Isherwood of Wordcircus.
"As well as our regular writers and performers Here Comes The Tide will feature five special-guest support artists that range from poets to hip-hop freestylers and singer-songwriters."
Doors open at 7.45pm, with admission £2 on the night. For further information call Oldham Arts & Events on 0161 911 4076.
