An invitation to put their lives into art

SALFORDIANS will get to turn events and accidents which have shaped their lives into art thanks to a new exhibition at the Lowry.

The exhibition, called Inspired By Lowry, will feature mobiles made by artist David Miles.

The mobiles will be designed to reflect stories from residents of Little Hulton about events and accidents they have witnessed in their lives - and I hear the group is heading over to the arts centre today to divulge all about moments from their lives.

Andy Farrell, The Lowry's head of community and education, will work with the group, acting as a creative writer to draw out and develop their stories.

The group will also use Lowry's Industrial Landscape, in the LS Lowry Collection, as a springboard.

The exhibition, the first in the Inspired By Lowry series, runs from Saturday, April 7, until Sunday, June 17.
