<p><P>ASIAN News is the Guardian Media Group's first publication specifically aimed at an ethnic minority audience.</P>
<P>It is a monthly pick-up newspaper with a circulation of 20,000. The public obtain copies via some 200 distribution points (Asian shops, community centres, schools, council officers and several mainstream supermarkets) in Manchester, Accrington, Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Tameside and Trafford. <P>The paper carries news and feature articles of interest to the conurbation's Asian communities.</P>
<P>Apart from local news of all kinds it has sections on entertainment (which includes the main Asian TV channel listings) , heritage and culture, a people section recording achievements of individuals Asians, a letters page and sport.</P>
<P>It is strictly non-sectarian attempting to give an area's Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian origin communities fair coverage.</P>
