OUR search for the M.E.N. Pet Idol is now over.
You've sent us hundreds of pictures of your pets - be it a cat, dog, budgie, guinea pig or even something more exotic - and the winners will be announced shortly.
We ran the contest in conjunction with Pets at Home, who have agreed to present the winner with £150 of vouchers to spend at their store with £50 for the runner-up . . . with a chance to win a further £500 in vouchers if your pet is named overall Greater Manchester winner.
The competition was also being run by seven of MEN Media's weekly newspapers across Greater Manchester.
Each of them will also pick a winner and runner-up who will receive the same prize as in the M.E.N.'s contest.
The eight winners will then go head to head, with M.E.N. readers voting which pet should be named Greater Manchester Pet Idol of the Year 2008 - and win the additional £500 in vouchers to spend at Pets at Home.

As well as entering the MEN Pet Idol, we are also having a go at the International Pet Idol 2008 photo competition.
The prize is £100.
