A MOTORCYCLIST is fighting for his life after a collision with two cars in Newhey.
The man, in his 20s, is being treated for a serious head injury and internal bleeding at Hope Hospital's intensive care unit after being thrown from his Kawasaki machine.
Thursday's crash, which also involved a Vauxhall and a Peugeot car, led to Shaw Road being closed at the junction with Huddersfield Road for over two hours. The other drivers escaped without injury.
Anyone who witnessed the accident, which happened at about 5.30pm, is asked to call traffic police on 0161 856 8473.

As to other comments about bikes.. I ride with this guy every week end. we are not kamikazi bikers we have famlies we are real people. Accidents happen wether it be on bikes, trains planes and automobiles and even the odd pedestrian makes a mistake.
