A TYTHERINGTON beauty is aiming to put Macclesfield’s high street on the map by becoming an official "Honey" in a national men’s magazine contest.
Hollie Wragg has pipped nearly 14,000 women to the final round of FHM’s popular High Street Honey competition, which aims to find the UK’s loveliest ladies of 2009.
The former Tytherington High pupil, 23, is a newcomer to the modelling business and only entered the competition following the promptings of an ex-boyfriend.
Hollie’s sister Lucy, 21, jumped on board to help her sibling snap the series of striking pictures in her bedroom, before quickly dispatching them to the glossy in July.
And now the beauty therapist has a shot at the ultimate prize of £10,000 and a modelling contract.
Hollie said: "I got my sister to take some pictures of me and sent them off. I didn’t really think much about it until I got a phone call in September when I found out that I had got through to the last hundred. It’s fantastic though because it’s the biggest men’s magazine in the world."
Hollie, who works at Alternative Tanning on Mill Street, can now log on to the publication’s website to see her revealing pictures, as well as being in the magazine’s special High Street Honey pull-out dubbed the ‘little black book’.
"It was weird when I saw the pictures of myself on the internet and in the book. But everyone in my family is really proud," added Hollie.
The rising star now faces a nail-biting few days before the ten finalists are announced at the end of the week.
And the lucky last ten will fight it out to be named FHM’s High Street Honey of 2009 – and the Tytherington beauty has her fingers firmly crossed.
"You never know – I could put Macc on the map."
She added: "If I won I would take all of my family on holiday to somewhere warm. Get out of this freezing Macclesfield weather!"

and would complement the rest of her.
Me thinks she looks frightened! which i presume the look on her face, men would assume as an aggresive one.
