Free legal advice for start-ups at Innospace

A scheme offering free legal advice to start-ups at Innospace, Manchester Metropolitan University's business incubator, kicks off tomorrow.

Innospace has teamed up with MMU's law school and law firm Gateley for the initiative. Entrepreneurs at the incubator will be paired with postgraduates to get help on issues such as employment contracts and trading terms.

Gateley lawyers will supervise and mentor the students. Sixty businesses are taking part in the scheme.

Richard Deighton, enterprise manager at Innospace, said: “Start-up businesses are vital to the country's economic fortunes and one way of supporting them is to pull in experts in areas such as law.”
