LEE Grogan has become the second Heywood player to announce his decision to step down from first team cricket at the Crimble.
Grogan has settled down in a senior all-rounder spot for the club in recent seasons, and featured in the Twenty20 final victory at Clifton.
But he has now decided, from next year, to drop a level and play with the emerging youngsters in the second team.
He therefore follows the move of left-arm spinner Chris Kaye, who dropped down for the last few games of the season – when it became evident that Heywood could not retain the CLL title – after a long and disinguished first team career with the club.
