MOORS murderer Ian Brady wrote to the mother of one of his victims complaining about his treatment at the high-security hospital where he is imprisoned, it was reported.
Brady, 68, wrote to Winnie Johnson, whose son Keith Bennett disappeared and is presumed buried on Saddleworth Moor near Manchester, along with four other victims.
The Sun newspaper reported that Brady claimed in the two-page letter that he was the victim of "corrupt" staff at Ashworth hospital, Merseyside.
The paper said he did not apologise for the murder of 12-year-old Keith or respond to repeated appeals made by Ms Johnson to Brady for information about where her son is buried.
A full interview with Winnie Johnson is due to be shown on Sky News' Sunrise programme from 6am today.
In the letter, dated December 21, 2005, and addressed to "Dear Mrs Bennett", Brady reportedly writes that he is being kept alive by force-feeding for "political purposes" and says he is "perfectly rational".
'Frightened'
Ms Johnson, 72, from Manchester, told The Sun last night that the letter had arrived "out of the blue".
She said: "It nearly killed me when I saw who the letter was from. It frightened the life out of me."
She added: "I've written to him four or five times over the years trying to get him to help me find Keith's body - but I've never heard back off him."
The letter did not mention Keith by name, she said.
"He's just trying to further his own means. It's all about him - Brady. He's just playing games. I've written back and told him what I think of him. But I can't get over this."
Brady and his girlfriend, Myra Hindley, began their killing spree on July 12, 1963. They were both jailed for life in 1966.
Hindley died in prison aged 60, in 2002. She had waged a long and unsuccessful campaign to be released.

Perhaps the government could do a deal with this killer - help them to locate the body of this innocent child to allow a proper burial, and then let Brady have his wish and stop the forced feeding.

I think Ian Brady should own up now to where Keiths body lay's because it is so unfare to winnie and her family. Then once keith is properly laid to rest Winnie and the rest of her family can greive a whole lot better.
