A new management training course is being piloted through the college, where local business people can gain an ILM Level 5 qualification free of charge.

The course is being offered free to supervisors and managers thanks to the support of the Quality Improvement Agency.

Sue Smith, curriculum manager, said: "It is more important than ever to invest in your employment-related skills and personal development."

  • THE UK’s largest recruiter and employer of disabled people has leased a unit at Heywood Distribution Park. Remploy has taken 62,000 sq ft of space for its electronics recycling division.

The company already rented space from the park owners SEGRO at a property in South Wales.

Chris Popham, account director for Johnson Controls Real Estate, which represented Remploy, said: "This move will result in more modern and secure premises for Remploy’s electronic recycling division and will bring some improved services and enhanced security to customers."
