RICKY Hatton has not retired despite weekend reports claiming that the Hitman was set to walk away from boxing.
The Hatton camp have revealed that no decision has been made, almost two months after the 30-year-old’s second round defeat against Manny Pacquiao in Las Vegas.
Life outside the ring offers Hitman the chance to concentrate on his promotional and merchandising ventures.
However, the temptation remains for one last fight to try and wipe away the memory of defeat to Pacquiao.
There are still numerous fighters out there for Hatton to face, provided he feels there is unfinished business.
Hatton’s father and manager, Ray, revealed the uncertainty Hatton has gone through since his last defeat.
"One minute he says ‘Do I need it anymore?’" he said. "The next he says ‘How can I go out like that?'
"It has to be his decision and whatever he decides, his family will stand by him."
Hatton will have his promoter’s hat on when he presents his Rainy City Rampage at Altrincham Leisure Centre on Saturday, July 11.
Mark Thompson, Scott Quig, Rhys Roberts, Matty Askin, James Barker, Adrian Gonzales and Alfonso Vieyra will all be on the card.
