RESIDENTS can recycle their Christmas tree at four locations around the Glossop area.
Although there will be no collection point at Corn Mill Car Park in Manor Park in the town this year, an alternative site can be used instead on the car park at the Pyegrove Road recreation ground.
The other three sites are: Bankswood Park, off Park Road in Hadfield, the car park on Sexton Street, Tintwistle and the recreation ground on Marple Road in Charlesworth.
Recycling points will be clearly marked and trees can be dropped off from tomorrow (Friday) up until Sunday, 25 January. All trees will be chipped and composted.
"Please can residents ensure that all decorations/tree wrapping etc are removed from trees before taking them to the collection points," said a High Peak Council spokeswoman. "Thank you for your efforts to make Christmas in High Peak as green as possible."
Log on to the council website at www.highpeak.gov.uk for a full list of recycling sites across the borough.

Trees will be dumped there anyway, and require shredding or moving.
Daft decision ...
