AMIR Khan has won his WBA light-welterweight title fight against Ukrainian Andreas Kotelnik at the MEN Arena on a unanimous points decision.

The Bolton fighter was in sharp form throughout and showed how much he has improved since his shock defeat at the hands of Breidis Prescott last September.

Kotelnik was looking for a knock-out blow but was unable to pin Khan down and in the end the home favourite was a comfortable winner.
