Yuvraj smashed 118 off just 122 balls as India posted 292 for nine from their 50 overs, and although England started well in the end Kevin Pietersen's men fell well short.
Matt Prior (38), Owais Shah (58), Pietersen (33) and Lancashire's Andrew Flintoff (43) all offered resistance, but in the end Yuvraj claimed each of their wickets. He finished with four for 28 from his 10 overs.
It was a stunning display from Yuvraj, who is now in pole position to reclaim his Test place as a replacement for the retired Sourav Ganguly, and comes just three days after his incredible unbeaten 138 in Rajkot to secure a thumping 158-run triumph in the first one-day international.
Pietersen claims his side are making progress after they reduced the margin of defeat from triple figures in the first one-day international to double figures.
“We improved from the last game, let’s hope we can improve some more,” he told Sky Sports 1.
“We had a good start with the ball, one of the top four getting a big score would probably have made the game a lot closer.”
Pietersen hailed the contribution of Yuvraj, adding: “We had a chance and probably let it slip there but Yuvraj Singh has played a fantastic game again today, the boy’s playing good cricket.”
