ARMED robbers threatened to harm a nine-month-old baby if the mum didn’t hand over cash and jewellery.

Two men armed with screwdrivers pushed their way into the 40-year-old woman’s home in Edward Street, Wardleworth, Rochdale at about 6.30pm on Friday and threatened her baby after forcing her into the bedroom.

The men, who had scarves wrapped around their faces, then snatched £100 in cash, two gold bracelets and a gold ring valued at £1,100 before fleeing.

Police have described the first robber as Asian, 5ft 7ins, of medium build with short dark hair, while his accomplice is described as Asian, of large build.
