POLICE in Blackburn are appealing for witnesses following a disturbance in Whalley Range.

At around 5am on 28 December in the London Road/ Blackburn St area of Whalley Range a disturbance broke out and three people received minor injuries.

They were treated at Royal Blackburn Infirmary but were later released.  Those three people were also arrested and have since been released on police bail. Two men aged 23 and 28 have been bailed until 2 January. A third man, aged 21 has been bailed until 6 January.

DC Mike Ingram of Blackburn CID said: “Investigations are still ongoing into the incident, however, at this stage, it is believed that the disturbance has broken out due to an ongoing dispute between the group and extra patrols have been allocated to the area to prevent any further disturbances.
