POLICE in Manchester are appealing for witnesses following reports that a boy was seen with a gun.
Shortly after 5.25pm on Monday 12 May 2008, police were called to Langdale Avenue in Levenshulme following reports that a boy was carrying a silver handgun and had fired a shot in the air.
Officers arrived at the scene and searched the area, though no one matching the description was found. No one was injured, and police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time.
The boy is described as Asian, between 13 and 16 years old, 5ft 5in to 5ft 7in tall, and of heavy build. He had a slightly rounded face and was wearing a light green T-shirt.
