Manchester to host India business summit

Businesses seeking opportunities in India are invited to a summit in Manchester.

The event, at the Bridgewater Hall on March 14, will aim to help firms understand the potential of expanding into one of the world's fastest growing economies and will include tips on strategy and minimising risk.

There will be an opportunity to meet companies already operating in India and delegates from the country, as well as new contacts and potential partners.

Confirmed speakers at the UK India Business Council event will include Nalin Surie, India's High Commissioner to the UK, Lord Bilimoria, founder and chief executive of the Cobra Beer Partnership, and JCB director and general manager Philip Bouverat.

UKIBC chief executive Richard Heald said: “This is a market hungry for new products, services, technology and know how.

“It is also a market which is rapidly developing its own world-class products and services which are born of innovation, passion and resourcefulness.

“The UKIBC Networking Summit will have all the right people under the same roof, enabling UK business to make the right judgements on engaging with the Indian market.”
