AS Gordon Brown finishes his visit to Pakistan and India, the Ramadhan Foundation once again reiterates the Islamic ruling that terrorism is evil and unlawful in Islam, the threat is real and we must come together to eradicate this evil.

The British government must accept that the most effective way to eradicate terrorism is to ensure that we never allow the terrorists to divide us; sadly comments by British politicians sometimes lead to violence towards innocent Muslims in the UK.

It is clear that the British government is keen to grab headlines but not really deal with effective issues around terrorism and extremism - as is typical with Gordon Brown we will have to wait to see the substance if any at all.

Pakistan suffers from terrorism on a daily basis, hundreds loose their lives and it doesn't even register on western interests.

Pakistan is unfortunately perceived to be a failed state, handing more money is not the solution rather looking at the root causes of terrorism is.
