MRS Kathleen Holt, of Robert Street, Accrington, has died aged 86.

The former dairy maid, who was employed at Bold Venture Farm in Altham, was married to the late James Holt, a shift engineer at Mullards in Burnley.

A member of Cambridge Street Methodist Church, Accrington, Mrs Holt liked visiting friends, writing letters, reading and puzzles.

She leaves daughter Eileen and son-in-law Richard, grandchildren Rosalynd and Emma, brother Jim, nephew John and his wife Jean.

She was cremated at Accrington on Monday following a service at Cambridge Street Methodist Church led by the Rev Garo Kilagi.
