MACHINE operator Mr Richard Alan Coughill, of Higher Antley Street, Accrington, has died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 61.

Mr Coughill worked as an operator and instructor for 22 years at Caligen Foam, Broad Oak, Accrington. He also had connections with the Brooks Club in Accrington and in his spare time he liked to go fishing and was a keen angler.

He also liked to make models of fighter planes and battleships. He was also a qualified upholster.

He leaves wife Catherine, children Ricky, Mary, Gavin, Katie, sons-in-law Bryan and Dave, daughter-in-law Donna, grandchildren John, Sophie, Chloe and Conrad. He was also father of the late Tony.

His funeral was on Wednesday when minister Sally Penn conducted a service and cremation at Accrington.
