FORMER fleet engineer Mr Allan Woods, of Park Road, Accrington, has died at the Royal Blackburn Hospital, aged 72.

Mr Woods worked for the Gilbraith Company for 50 years. He was a member of the Road Transport Engineers and a life member of the Willow Mount Working Men’s Club.

He leaves wife Stella, daughters Janette and Marie, sons-in-law Billy and Nick, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

His funeral is today (Friday) when Mr Mike Faune conducts a service and cremation at Accrington, followed by wake at the Willow Mount Working Men’s Club.
